Leaked images revealed the shape of the long-awaited Motorola Razr foldable phone less than two weeks before its official launch.
Ivan Blas, famous for his reputation for smartphone-related image leaks and the Dutch website Mobilkopen, has published pictures of the device, which features its clamshell design for the original Motorola Razr V3.
Although nearly 15 years have passed since the launch of the first Razr, one will feel that the latest images of the smartphone are familiar, especially for fans of the original foldable phone, according to the British newspaper The Independent.
However, the sleek folding design revolves around the only feature that remains the same, but it is attached with major technical upgrades that are expected to transform the traditional iconic phone into a smartphone era.
The renewal of the Razr foldable phone is part of a new trend among smartphone makers to provide a foldable design, such as Huawei and Samsung, and the latter had announced its foldable phone, Galaxy Fold, but had to delay its release due to a number of problems.
Like the Galaxy Foul, which is priced at around $ 2,000, the innovative design of the new Motorola Razr is likely to come at a better price for consumers, with analysts estimated to cost around $ 1,500.
But its relatively high price may prevent a similar level of success from its predecessor, from which more than 130 million units were sold worldwide.
Despite the leaked photos of the new Motorola Razr phone, no official details have been provided, but many rumors suggest that it will come with the usual specifications of smartphones, with 4 GB of RAM and a processor Snapdragon 710.
Motorola described the new phone as "an original like no other," and will reveal the full specifications and details at the launch event of the device on 13 November.
